| | .jpg) | Plastite 60-1®
Plastite tri-lobular thread rolling screws are designed for fastening in a wide range of thermoplastics.
The 60o profile on the Type 60-1 screw penetrates deeply into the work piece, absorbing higher torques without stripping and resisting pullout forces.
As threads are formed, the plastic material recovers and fills in around the tri-lobular threads, providing resistance to loosening and assuring a secure assembly.

These unique Shakeproof developed fasteners drill their own perfectly sized holes in thin sheet, thick metals and non-metallics.
Teks form close mating threads and produce a complete fastening system in a single operation. This total performance self-drilling fastener reduces labor and is ideal for automated assembly
Other features include simplifying and improving fastening designs and reducing or eliminating the need for drill bits or taps and cuts expensive tolling costs.
Drill perfectly sized holes in Sheet metal or Thick metal.

| | .jpg) | TapTite® & Taptite® II
The unique "tri-lobular" shape of the Taptite screw roll forms a mating thread in an unthreaded pilot hole.
The threads are work hardened as they are formed, providing a strong joint or assembly.
By elastic recovery, the metal fills in behind the triangular lobes to provide maximum contact and a secure assembly.
The tri-lobular shape of the screw shank: • Reduces friction during driving to assure low driving torque • Generates a prevailing torque that exceeds the level of a locking screw

| | .jpg) | Thread Cutting Screws
Another standard fastener product invented by ITW Shakeproof®. A shank slot in the body of the screw threads provides true cutting action, eliminating a separate tapping operation and generating a perfectly mated thread that is reusable. Achieves the same holding power when compared to machine screws in tapped holes.

| | .jpg) | Hi-Lo®
These fasteners have a double lead high and low thread form that increases performance in a broad range of low density materials such as plastic, wood masonite and particle board. The high thread is sharper than a conventional thread, having a 30° included angle as compared to the conventional 60o included angle. The low thread has the 60° included angle and a height that is 40-50% of the high thread height.
As more material remains between the threads, the Hi-Lo absorbs more torque without stripping. With the dramatic increase in the safe operating range (drive vs. strip torque), the Hi-Lo can be driven easily and consistently without stripping problems and without constant fine tuning of power drivers.
The Hi-Lo screw thread configuration has a smaller diameter than a conventional screw. The high threads make a deeper cut into the materail leaving a greater volume of material between the threads. There is also a greater amount of material in contact with the high, sharp thread and the axial shear area is increased. All of this contributes to greater resistance to pull-out and a stronger joint.
