| | .jpg) | Large complex shapes from almost any metal becomes a canadate for multiple Deep Drawing steps. Fourteen individual steps were required to achieve the final shape shown here. The external and internal tolerances were .005" without any draft angle. By employing this process the waste material was almost nil, vs. machining this same shape from a solid round, and far less expensive for our customer.
This part ends up over 14" tall manufactured from .050 sheet stock. | |
