| | .jpg) | Large complex shapes from almost any metal becomes a canadate for multiple Deep Drawing steps. Fourteen individual steps were required to achieve the final shape shown here. The external and internal tolerances were .005" without any draft angle. By employing this process the waste material was almost nil, vs. machining this same shape from a solid round, and far less expensive for our customer.
This part ends up over 14" tall manufactured from .050 sheet stock.

These parts begin from flat metal, as this material exhibits far less porosity, and yeilds a better part than one simply machined from solid bar stock.
This part is about .750" high with a .015" thick wall.

Secondary plating requirments are also handled by us to our customer's specifications.
This part is about 1.200" in diameter, and .010" thick after being gold plated.

Stainless steel is the material of choice here, and this part begins from .050" thick sheet stock, and this ring is about 4.000" in diameter.
