 Custom Fabrication

Included among our numerous services are providing belts with hot molded or cold bonded T-Cleats, corrugated sidewalls, flanges, and Vee-Guides. For vacuum or suction applications, we have the capability of perforating belts up to 50" wide with various hole diameters and patterns. For compression, cushioning, feeding and extruding, special covers can be molded or vulcanized to a belt surface in various thicknesses. For this process, we usually use neoprene sponge, polyurethane foam, gum rubber or Linatex. Our custom services also include the capability to splice widths over the normal 60 to 72 inch wide belt, as well as the ability to provide track and trim services.

 Film Belts

Ultrasonically welded film (Mylar®/polyester) belts provide uniformly high strength for instrumentation and light power transmission applications. Excellent chemical resistance makes it a good choice in areas where many solvents, acids, and oils are present. Film belts have the high flexibility and length stability to make them ideal for disc memory drives, turntables and miniature precision drives. The engineering possibilities of this belt, with perforated vacuum patterns and sprocket holes, are endless.

 Foam Belts

The spliced construction is available in a wide range of lengths, widths and thicknesses for applications such as bottle cappers, packaging lines, and extruder take-offs where product cushioning is required. The woven endless construction, which has the cover cast onto the carcass in a mold, is available in widths up to 2" and lengths to 60". The carcass can allow for bleed through, or be bare fabric or coated on the inner surface. This construction can provide cushioning or act as a retarding belt in combination with a feed belt in paper handling applications.

 High Temperature Belts

Our standard high temperature belt is the BIC 1600, a wrapped two or three ply silicone rubber on glass fabric constuction. Other materials that may be used include high temperature resistant fibers such as Kevlar® and Nomex® aramid. Because they are non-standard, these materials require additional lead time for sampling and may require engineering charges.

 Metal Belts

Metal belts require no lubrication, are nonstretch, operate smoothly and allow for good thermal and electrical conductivity with no static build up. These unique properties result in precision, control, longevity and cost effectiveness.

Metal belts are available plain, perforated or covered. All belts are created by welding together two ends of a metal tape to form an endless belt. Electron beam welding techniques form a high integrity butt weld that is strong and smooth. Belt applications include conveying, heat sealing, casing, timing, vacuum conveying and applications where a high coefficient of friction surface is required.

• Every application is different. Belting Industries can design each product to your unique specifications.

 Neoprene Timing Belts

Belting Industries offers a complete line of urethane polyester, urethane Kevlar® and urethane steel timing belts. We can customize the belts with specialized grinding, profiles and covering. Coverings include, but are not limited to, natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and open and closed cell foams.

• Belting Industries can supply pulleys and sprockets for your specific requirements.
