		PSS Engineering & Sales team, through the customers ESI or "Early Supplier Involvement Program" was able to develop an alternate method to eliminate an expensive plating operation. Traditionally, a conductive paint is used to spray plastic housings for consumer electronics to shield electrical components from electromagnetic fields and radio frequency interference. This delicate process can result in high incidents of scrap due to "Over-spray" onto cosmetically sensitive surfaces. PSS replaced the customer's $2.00 plating process with a $0.27 Nickel-Silver stamping yielding a savings of OVER 700% to our customer. Results yield an annual savings of $800,000 annually!
