Traditionally, a conductive paint is used to spray plastic housings for consumer electronics to shield electrical components from electromagnetic fields and radio frequency interference. This delicate process can result in high incidents of scrap due to "Over-spray" onto cosmetically sensitive surfaces. PSS replaced the customer's $2.00 plating process with a $0.27 Nickel-Silver stamping yielding a savings of OVER 700% to our customer.
Results yield an annual savings of $800,000 annually! | |
