 DFS-2W / 3W Disposable Flowmeters
Sterilizable Interchangeable/Disposable Flow Meter

The DigiFlow DFS-2W/3W flowmeters have been specifically designed for use in pharmaceutical, medical, food processing and other OEM/end-use applications requiring interchangeable or disposable components, or other high volume/low unit cost applications.

The basic flow meter consists of two major assemblies:
• A sterilizable, interchangeable/disposable rotor assembly which include all wetted surfaces.
• A permanent, fixed electronics/mounting assembly.
Flowmeter design makes it an integral component of systems designed for accurate monitoring or flow control of liquids.

Design Features:
• Two ranges of 0.07 – 25 litres/minute (.02 – 6.6 GPM).
• Accuracy within 0.5%.
• Wetted surfaces of high quality polymers.
• Quantity measurements as small as 0.2 ml.
• Housing of high quality polymers.
• Friction free fluid bearings yielding long life.
• Low pressure drops.
• Compatible with most acids and bases.
• Infrared signal pick-up.
• Resolution of up to 60,000 pulses/litre (227,100/gallon).
• Turn down ratios of up to 64:1.
• Mount in any position without flow straighteners.

  Liquid Flowmeters & Controllers

Liquid flowmeters and controllers of the L and LC series use two of the best-studied physical properties of liquids to measure flow: Viscosity and Pressure. Differential pressure measurement, across a laminar flow element, results in a flowmeter that is inherently linear. The flow meter measures differential pressure within that laminar region to achieve a turndown of 50:1 typical.

The L Series is a Volumetric Flowmeter. The unique method of flow detection allows the unit to measure extremely low flow rates at an affordable price. These flowmeters are available in ranges of 500 micro-liters per minute full scale to 10 liters per minute full scale. Units are suitable for low viscosity, non-aggressive liquids.

The LC Series Flow Controller utilized a proportional valve coupled to a flowmeter body creating a unique in-situ closed-loop flow controller system. Measurements are taken within the laminar region of the flow meter and the integral PID controller positions the valve according to the flow set points. These robust, closed-loop devices accept a selectable digital or analog control set point from either direct entry on units with local display or external devices. The controllers can also accept an RS-232, 0-10Vdc or 4-20mA control input signal depending on what is preferred by the customer. Independent of the set point voltages, the controllers can be configured for single or dual output of the same or different voltages and/or different parameters such as temerature and flow. This is possible because of the laminar flowmeter design which incorporates solid-state Differential, Absolute Pressure, and Temperature sensors to determine flow in an inherently linear system. The result is a fast responding linear flow meter with multiple outputs. All these parameters are simultaneously visible with our dynamic display that includes a push button operator interface. Liquid controllers are available from 500 micro-liters per minutes full scale to 500 milliliters per minute full scale.

MASS and VOLUMETRIC Gas Flow meters

The "NON-THERMAL" M series Mass Gas Flowmeters use discrete Absolute Pressure, Differential Pressure, and Temperature sensor measurements within the laminar flow region to determine mass flow. The embedded microprocessor provides a software-based STP calculation compensated for pressure and temperature to standard conditions (1 atmosphere 25บ Celsius). The M series address the limitations of thermal mass flow technologies, as there is no "Hot Wire" drift. The unit has an adjustable response time starting from 10 milliseconds. The dynamic display units show mass flow, volumetric flow, temperature and absolute pressure simultaneously. With the push button interface, the user can select the primary display, gas of interest (14 standard gases featured), adjust meter response time or tare the meter at zero flow. The optional battery pack makes for a powerful portable test and calibration tool.

Volumetric Gas Flowmeters of the V series are designed for applications venting to atmosphere, with constant and minimal/no backpressure. They do not include absolute pressure or discrete temperature sensors, which makes them an affordable alternative to mass flowmeters. As with the M series, the Volumetric flowmeters use discrete Differential Pressure sensor measurements within the laminar flow region to determine flow.
