.jpg) | Adhesive Films Offer the speed and simplicity of a hot melt adhesive in the form of a thermoplastic film. Contain no solvents and require no "cure" time Are premixed and premeasured to provide a very uniform coverage of the entire area to be bonded. Composed of polyurethane, nylon, polyester, polyolefin or vinyl. These formulas may offer greter temperature and solvent resistance than those products made from traditional olefin hot melt formulations. They adhere to many types of substrates including fabrics, foams, plastic sheets, composites and multiple layer combinations. Our adhesive films are specified for use in various industries from apparel and automotive to architectural and aerospace. Depending on the strength of the bond required and the environmental conditions to be survived, you can select the best formula for your application. A variety of gauges and softening temperatures allow our films to work well in your product application and in your manufacturing process. | ||
.jpg) | Elastic Films Bemis manufactures two types of elastics: Sewfree EB adhesive tape is ideal for “edge banding” . Heat and pressure are required to activate the tape and it is typically applied to finish the edge of a leg or arm opening of a garment. ClarenseTM are clear, versatile thermoplastic urethane film in a very narrow tape form. They are intended to be stitched into garments to reinforce seams. They improve the wear and fit of garments, especially those made of knitted fabrics. Both tapes feature superior strength and elasticity. | ||
.jpg) | Heat Seal Seam Tapes Bemis Seam tapes are slit from multilayered thermoplastic adhesive films or from coated fabrics. Are applied to the sewn seams to prevent water from leaking through those seams. Seam tapes are usually applied by using a hot air taping machine. Are used in various applications including outerwear, industrial work wear, tents, waders, footwear and military garments and gear. Are the highest quality, most cost-effective seam tapes manufactured anywhere in the world today. Bemis tapes are specifically formulated to resist yellowing in typical seam sealing applications. | ||
