| | .jpg) | ECL Small Mixers Lightnin's new Enhanced Classic Line (ECL) mixer gives our customer an even stronger and more flexible product. Never before has there been a range of mixers offering so much quality and value.
Direct- and gear-drive mixers for a wide range of mixing applications. Direct-drive mixers are recommended for dispersing powders and small batch mixing. Gear-drive mixers feature two available lower speeds and higher torque for use with larger batches and a range of viscosities. Larger output shaft bearings for longer shafts and longer life. Positive chuck grips the mixer shaft to prevent unintentional shaft release.

| | .jpg) | Over 30,000 LIGHTNIN Series 70 mixers have been placed in service since we began making them in 1970.
The same design technology is used in LIGHTNIN Series 90 mixers, as well as in RMX and most CMX replacement drives for older mixers. The gear train is the same as in our Series 80 mixers.
That makes the Series 70 mechanical design technology the most specified, most used, most proven mixer technology in the world. It's our standard and the standard of the industry.
1-200 hp LIGHTNIN Series 70 mixers cover the range from 1 to 200 hp. They are available in both double and triple reduction gearing, and come in a full range of standard AGMA speeds from 280 down to 16.5 rpm.
Full Spectrum of Impellers Series 70 mixers offer a full choice of impellers in order to optimize your process results. Included are the high-flow A310, as well as other high performance and more traditional impellers, so we can match shear and flow to your process requirements exactly.
Guaranteed Performance Together we decide what mixing should do to optimize your process. Then we recommend the impeller, mixer speed, shaft length and other specifications. An we guarantee performance results.

| | .jpg) | LIGHTNIN Series 80
Thousands of LIGHTNIN mixers with hollow quill drives have been placed in service since we first created the design in the late 1960's to protect the gear train from severe flexures of the shaft.
The exclusive hollow quill became part of Series 80 mixers at that time. Since then, the design has written a singular record for isolating shaft flexures and assuring long gear life in some of the toughest applications imaginable.
Series 80 mixers are especially recommended for processes with high fluid forces on the impellers, and long impeller shaft applications.
Gearing is the same as used in our Series 70 and 90 mixers. Altogether, there are tens of thousands of these drives at work every day around the world. It's our standard and the standard of the industry.

| | .jpg) | The LIGHTNIN RSE Is Both Compact And Heavy-Duty, For Economical, Dependable Service
Sizes to 75 HP, 50% Greater Flow
Our complete line of RSE Series mixers ranges from 1 to 75 HP. Each includes our energy-efficient A312 impeller for 50% greater blending capacity over conventional impellers. Installation costs are minimal and operating costs are reduced by 40%
In many cases this high efficiency means a smaller model or fewer units can do the job. And that means decreased installation expense and fewer manholes per tank.

| | .jpg) | LIGHTNIN Series 700/800
We gave this series the capacity to drive long overhung mixer shafts without steady bearings. We gave it the stamina to withstand severe bending and high-torque loads imposed by fluid forces in the tank.
As a result, you get get longer service life with less maintenance. You get our performance guarantee. you get a mixer with an enviable track record, written by the thousands of 700/800 mixers produced in our state-of-the-art plant at Whytheville, Virginia.
you'll find 700/800 mixers atop huge fermentation tanks in pharmaceutical production and in all manner of large-scale chemical processing. You'll also find them in the dust and rock of minerals processing, as well as in the heavy sludge of waste treatment.
Series 700/800 come in five case sizes, covering the range from 25 through 1250 hp. Both double and triple reduction drives are available, covering the full range of standard AGMA speeds from 230 rpm down to 11.4 rpm.

| | .jpg) | The Series 10 delivers a superior combination of value and performance
Unmatched durability - long gear and bearing life Fewer moving parts simplifies maintenance Unique output shaft connection Ideally suited for mixing and flocculation applications
Flocculation This step is the backbone of water and physical chemical waste treatment. Gentle agitation, maximizing flow and minimizing shear, is necessary to contact and agglomerate particles to form floc for sedimentation and filtration. As in flash mixing, a high-efficiency impeller is needed to prevent damaging the floc.

| | .jpg) | LIGHTNIN FGD Single Slurry Seal
Lightnin has successfully applied hundreds of Top and Side Entry agitators for flue gas desulfurization processes, from the very first FGD installation in the 1960's at the Lawrence Energy Center to today's modern power plants. Since the first installation, the Boiler Systems have advanced considerably from the multiple Absorber Towers per Boiler in the 1970's and 80's to today's systems with a single tower per Boiler, capable of operation for extended periods without shutdown.
The mechanical seal is designed to excel in a harsh FGD environment. Engineered to operate with no outside flush liquid to reduce your operating expenses, dependency and usage of plant water.
A-312 Impeller This hydrofoil impeller is specifically designed for the requirements of flue gas desulfurization. This impeller generates a strong, focused discharge across the swept diameter that ensures good solid suspension and gas dispersion.
The optimum blade configuration also eliminates the formation of eddy currents on the trailing surface of the blade. This design feature greatly reduces erosion and increases blade life.

| | .jpg) | Mix Continuously Without A Tank
Now you can save your investment in tanks and space by using in-line mixing. The two-stage LINE BLENDER produces a uniform effluent from various feed streams and will handle any fluid you can pump. It achieves uniformity not attainable with static mixers. The LINE BLENDER produces a continuous flow, high intensity agitation which completely overcomes the fluid velocity in the pipeline. Particles of fluid which have time-interval separation can now easily be blended.
The design features two separate mixing chambers where high-speed, high-power impellers smooth fluctuations, produce uniformity at flow rates up to 20,000 G.P.M. The LINE BLENDER uses standard pipe flanges. The mechanical seal is replaceable under pressure and requires no special lubrication.

| | .jpg) | Portable mixing with a twist
Grab the Lightnin Quik-Connect Modular Mixer, put it on your intermediate bulk container (IBC) and give it a twist. It's the easiest, most secure way to mix during manufacturing, prior to shipment, at customer locations, and at intervals during storage. One mixer does it all, with no cumbersome mounting, no clean up, and no possibility of cross contamination. Plus, Quik-Connect Mixers comply with 1996 U.S. Department of Transportation regulations for the ultimate in worry-free mixing.
LIGHTNIN Quik-Connect Mixers provide high-torque mixing at low speeds. Air-driven models are available in 1/3, 1 and 3 hp. Electrical models come in speeds up to 350 RPM.
The new optional retrofit flange allows you to simply assemble it to your existing LIGHTNIN Quik-Connect stuffing box assembly without modifications. Overall height of the Quik-Connect assembly remains below the lid guard.

| | .jpg) | Lightnin SX Mixer
Advanced Material The shaft and impeller are premium high-temperature vinyl ester resins, reinforced with graphite and glass fibers.
Corrosion resistance equals or surpasses stainless steel in 80% of traditional stainless applications. In one application, blending abrasive AL203 in hot H2SO4, this material with an erosion resistant coating out performs alloy B.
Less Power, Less Cost The new A6000TM impeller enables the SX mixer to achieve the same mixing results as conventional pitched-blade turbines while using only 30-50% of the power.
Meanwhile, shaft and impeller weight are reduced as much as 50% compared with metal. This lower weight combines with tailored shaft stiffness to permit longer shafts. You can use deeper tanks, place the impeller nearer the bottom and avoid steady bearings. And you'll also save on equipment costs.
