May 9, 2008Brick, NJ Universal Wrecking Corp. | Universal Wrecking Corp. Completes Purchase and Scrap Metal Recycling of Damaged Cargo Containers. Universal Wrecking Corp. (UWC), a premier demolition and scrap metal contractor, recently completed the purchase and scrap metal recycling of damaged cargo containers. A large client involved in shipping, contacted UWC to purchase over 50 cargo containers that were damaged beyond repair and needed to be scrapped. The containers varied in sizes from 20 foot long to 40 foot long, and were of different materials and composition. Despite this, UWC successfully processed the cargo containers into scrap metal for recycling and provided the client with certificates of destruction. Due to UWC's strong relationships in the scrap recycling industry, UWC was able to offer the client a substantial value for the cargo containers as scrap metal, and the client was very pleased. May 1, 2008Cherry Hill, NJ The Mack Group, LLC | MACK Group, LLC Completes Large Asbestos Removal and Abatement Project in New Jersey. The MACK Group, LLC, a premier asbestos removal contractor also offering the abatement of mold, lead, biological and chemicals, recently completed a large, multi-tasked asbestos abatement project. The project was performed for a Fortune 500 company at one of their manufacturing plants in New Jersey. The project conformed to all OSHA and EPA regulations pertaining to ACM and only NJ licensed asbestos abatement workers performed the asbestos removal work. Using a combination of proprietary flooring removal ride on machines and shot blaster machines, MACK was easily able to remove the tile and mastic down to the original concrete floor surface. The project was performed at a Mall in New Jersey and only NJ licensed asbestos abatement workers performed the asbestos removal work. The project conformed to all OSHA and EPA regulations pertaining to ACM, and due to proprietary floor removal machines, MACK was easily able to remove the floor tile and mastic down to the original concrete floor surface without damaging the existing concrete. | March 14, 2008Brick, NJ Universal Wrecking Corp. | Universal Wrecking Corp. Completes Demolition and Scrap Metal Salvage of Manitowoc Crane. Universal Wrecking Corp., a building demolition contractor company providing nationwide demolition and salvage services, was contracted by a private client to demolish the 4500 Manitowoc Crane which was located on one of the major coal mines in Pennsylvania. Prior to actual demolition of the crane, UWC salvaged all reuseable parts which included tracks and other crane components. Due to the amount of spare parts recovered and the value of the scrap metal, UWC was able to return a significant payment to the client. Bazz Houston has greatly expanded its CNC capability by adding 6 additional ITAYA CNC Wire Forming machines. We now have a MCS-8E with a wire capacity down to 0.008 and an MCS-30E with a wire capacity up to 0.125. Bazz Houston has overall capacity to form wire from .004" diameter to .375" diameter and .002" thick to .060" strip material thickness. In addition we have added a new Hole Drilling EDM Machine in the Tooling & Engineering Department and 2 new Optical Comparators for In-Process Control. |
