Anti-backlash nuts are specially designed nuts to eliminate backlash from a lead screw nut without compromising the drag torque. The nut is so designed that a rotational movement produced between the nut and screw elicits a relative translational motion along the screw. These nuts are comprised of longitudinal flexure members oriented diametrically and biased radially toward the screw so as to ensure minimum deflection and equal drag torque essential for the nut movement in either direction. These nuts are ideal for vertical applications requiring noise and vibration control, precision positioning applications.
