A centrifugal chiller is the most common of chillers used for cooling purposes incorporated with a centrifugal compressor. The compressor rotates at high speed and compresses the refrigerant by centrifugal force, and centrifugal fans maneuver the refrigerant inside the chiller circuit. They suit applications involving large cooling loads immensely, courtesy their design, and comprise at least 95 percent of chillers with high cooling capacity. They are used for cooling edifices employing a centralized air conditioning system. Learn more about centrifugal chillers.
