Colored foils, as the name implies, are slender colored metal sheets. They are available in a variety of colors and are mostly used as decorative elements. These sheets are made of highly malleable metals, mostly aluminum. They are used for gift-wrapping, cosmetic packaging, cigarette cases, as linings for envelopes, food wrapping, confectionery wrapping, promotional materials, book covers, hair dressing and other plastic or paper packaging. They are extensively used in hot stamping on fabrics or in packaging. They are highly effective as protective packing medium, and are fabricated with specific properties such as oil-resistance or wear resistance in accordance to the requirements of the application.
