A downdraft dust collector is a type of dust collector that is used for continuous accumulation of dust and debris generated by a process. These collectors are efficient in controlling dust and fumes and reduce maintenance costs since it enables collection of particulates before they settle on the surface. These downdraft dust collectors are provided with a work plane, which is connected to a vacuum device that allows the dust, debris and other slack materials generated to be vacuumed through outlets provided in the work surface, away from the work atmosphere and the worker.
