Laminated foils are slender laminated metal sheets fabricated from metals like aluminum with excellent malleability. They are marketed in the form of bags, gusset bags, sheets or rolls, and are popular for their outstanding sealing strength. They can be customized to requirements and can be made to resist moisture, gas, light and chemical materials. Prominent materials used for the lamination are aluminum, bitumen, paper, plastic or PET. Major applications include packaging of dried fruits, sauces, tea and coffee, linings in cigarette packages, gift wrapping, decorating, fabrication of electric cables and flexible ducts, and communication cable shielding.
