To varying degrees, ALL light-sources have residual “ripple”, simply by virtue of their being whatever lamp-type they are. In Machine Vison Systems using 60-cycle power, Tungsten light-sources have a residual 10% ripple content; Fluorescents have 60%, and Metal Halide & HP Sodium lamps - even more! But not with MERCRON's regulated HF Lamp Ballasts.
