Printed foil is a slender metal sheet with predetermined shapes or text etched on them. These foils are created by printing on flexo presses that offer up to six color capability. Printing is possible on foils lacquered for PVDC, PVC laminated with PET, PE or paper. Foils of this type are used mostly as decorative items or in promotional items such as balloons and cards. Labels are one of the common areas foils are used; these labels are available in variegated colors and are durable, slender and flexible enough to conform to most surfaces, and resist surface abrasion to a moderate extent.
