Berkeley Design Automation Announces Analog FastSPICE RF-Industry’s First True SPICE Accurate Device Noise Analysis for RF Circuits
SANTA CLARA, CA - Berkeley Design Automation, Inc., provider of the Analog FastSPICE unified circuit verification platform, announced Analog FastSPICE RF (AFS RF), the industry’s first true SPICE accurate device noise analysis for RF circuits. Available immediately, AFS RF accurately analyzes nanometer-scale device noise impact for all types of pre-layout and post-layout circuits, ensuring early insight into its impact on performance, power, and area. Prior to AFS RF, designers have had to use limited-spectrum RF tools that can only approximate device noise impact on RF circuits. Such approximations are increasingly inaccurate with decreasing process geometries, often becoming grossly inaccurate in nanometer-scale circuits. Particularly sensitive are circuits with sharp transitions (e.g., switched-capacitor filters, charge pumps, and dividers), high-frequency circuits (e.g., RF front-end blocks), and oscillators. Without accurate analysis, designers have to include expensive design margin or risk missing specifications in silicon.

Russian JSC ‘Information Satellite Systems Reshetnev Company’ uses Dassault Systèmes PLM in Satellite Design   Lattice Technology Releases New XVL Converter for Autodesk Inventor 2010
Moscow - Dassault Systemes, a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions and one of the leading enterprises in the Russian Space Industry JSC Information Satellite Systems (ISS) Reshetnev Company have announced that they successfully implemented an integrated CATIA and ENOVIA solution improving the collaboration between key functions within the organization to speed the design of telecommunications and navigation satellites. This approach has also enabled ISS Reshetnev Company to expand its reach and to take advantage of opportunities in the international aerospace market. Founded in 1959 the ISS Reshetnev Company has taken part in more than 40 space programs in communication, TV broadcasting, navigation, geodesy and research. More than 1,200 spacecraft have been manufactured at ISS Reshetnev Company which encompasses the management of the whole product lifecycle, from design to controlling the space craft while in orbit. Since 1993 the enterprise started to trial and use different CAD systems.   SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Lattice Technology Inc., developers of digital manufacturing applications using the XVL format released its latest converter for Autodesk Inventor® 2010. The XVL Converter Plug-in for Autodesk Inventor allows 3D data created in Autodesk Inventor 2010 to be compressed to an average 0.5% of its original size with no loss of accuracy. As XVL data the 3D designs can be rapidly mocked up for simulation, design review, process design, kinematics, human interaction on the assembly line, and more, in the Lattice Technology applications. XVL data is also used to directly and rapidly create print-ready and interactive digital documentation for mBOMs, process and work instructions, and technical illustrations. Lattice Technology’s applications allow 3D design data from diverse sources and CAD platforms to be integrated into a single assembly model, and, because of the industry-leading compression, can still be easily used and manipulated on low specification PCs. The small size of the data means that it can be used interactively in locations such as the shop floor and shipping departments which have typically never benefited from 3D data before.
