They are ideal for connecting accessory instruments, for reversing rotation of flexible shafts and for controlling two units through one power source. These low-cost reducers employ crossed-helical gears that provide a wide range of 8 output ratios. The reducers are finding increased use in intermittent-duty applications where input motion by means of a control knob or gear is transmitted at right angles to the output shaft. These reducers are also excellent for continuous, light-duty use where they can operate at speeds of about 1,800 rpm. | |
