KROHNE to Showcase Wide Range of Industry Leading Products

Press Release:
Oct 12, 2011 — Peabody, MA: KROHNE, Inc. will showcase a wide range of its industry-leading water/wastewater products at WEFTEC 2011, Booth 5217, West Hall. The 84th Annual Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, from October 15-19, 2011.

KROHNE experts will be on hand to conduct working demonstrations of the TIDALFLUX electromagnetic flowmeter, WATERFLUX 3070 battery-powered water meter, and OPTISOUND VU30 low-cost, full-featured ultrasonic level transmitter. Working demonstrations will also be given on the ENVIROMAG 2000 magnetic flowmeter, the OPTISENS MAC 100 multi-parameter converter for liquid analysis, the compact OPTISENS OAM 1050 turbidity measuring system, and the OPTISENS AAM 1100 free chlorine measurement system.

A variety of other products ideal for use in the water/wastewater industry will be exhibited, including INOR temperature measurement products, the OPTIWAVE 7300 non-contact radar level meter for liquids, the OPTIFLEX 1300 guided radar (TDR) level meter, OPTIMASS 1000 and 7000 high performance Coriolis mass flowmeters , OPTISONIC 6300 clamp-on, UFM 3030 ultrasonic flowmeter, as well as the complete line of electromagnetic and variable area flowmeters.

“WEFTEC is the ideal venue to showcase our products, which are widely considered the standards for the water and wastewater industries,” said Rich Lowrie, Water Industry Manager. “Our engineers and application experts will be on hand to show the quality and innovation of our products.”

KROHNE’s TIDALFLUX innovative electromagnetic flowmeter offers unsurpassed accuracy and is ideal for industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment applications. The TIDALFLUX flowmeter is combined with a capacitive flow-level measuring system built into the wall of the measuring tube, providing accurate flow measurements in partially filled pipelines with levels between 10 and 100 percent of the pipe cross-section.

The new battery-operated WATERFLUX 3070 water meter can be installed in very narrow wells and chambers, thanks to extremely short inlet and outlet installation requirements. As a magnetic-inductive meter it is highly accurate and stable, while also featuring a lower pressure drop than comparable mechanical water meters. For large diameters, the WATERFLUX 3070 has a significant price advantage compared to the lifetime cost of mechanical meters which often require filters and rectifiers as well as significantly more maintenance and cleaning.

The OPTISOUND VU30 and VU31 were introduced specifically to meet the North American municipal market’s level or open channel flow measurement needs. The models feature patented algorithms that allow the system to ignore most internal vessel obstructions that may be positioned directly in the ultrasonic beam path without the need for user intervention. The sensor also can be recessed in vessel nozzles to allow measurement to the very top of the vessel.
