This year, Stock Drive Products (ISO 9001:2008 Registered) and Sterling Instrument (ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C Registered) are celebrating 40 and 50 years respectively, so a comprehensive and user-friendly capabilities brochure was necessary in order to show the continuation of a long history of dedication to customer service.
Our facilities list encompasses all the machinery used by SDP/SI, which includes: 139 gear manufacturing machines, 43 CNC lathes, 22 manual lathes, 11 CNC milling machines and 20 grinding machines, plus many other machines for drilling, plastic injection molding, inspection and testing, etc. This impressive collection of machinery allows for the creation of a wide range of parts. Using customer prints, the experienced engineers at SDP/SI can even work with the manufacturing division to make custom parts to almost any specification. Individual dimension tolerances can be done as low as .0001”, part diameters can go as high as 16”, gear and rack pitches can range from 8DP to 200DP, worm and worm wheel pitches from 16DP to 72DP, and AGMA quality standards as high as Q14 can be met.
