Spirax Sarco Wins 2012 MarCom Award for Steam News Magazine Creative Ad

| Nov 12, 2012 — Spirax Sarco announced today that it won the gold award in the 2012 MarCom Award competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement in the marketing communication industry. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) every year selects winners from over 6,000 entries submitted by corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers. AMCP looks for entries that exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Getting recognition by the AMCP is a great honor, “said Stephen Gow, Director of Marketing for Spirax Sarco. “We’re gaining brand visibility within our industry and we wouldn’t be in this position if it weren’t for our marketing communications team and support from clients and vendors.” Spirax Sarco received the gold award for a pharmaceutical print ad promoting their Steam News magazine. This ad was created by Leah Veldhoven, Graphic Designer for Spirax Sarco. The colourful ad featured a RX prescription bottle with pills pouring out of it. All of the pills had engraved words pertaining to what the reader would receive from reading Steam News magazine. The creative headline, “For energy efficiency, plant productivity, and increased savings, doctors recommend a dose of Steam News” brought the entire piece together. About the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals. AMCP administers recognition programs; provides judges; and rewards outstanding achievement and service to profession.
