A baghouse dust collector is a purification system designed to cleanse air laden with fine, solid particulate contaminants. The collector sucks in the contaminated air, filters the pollutants and releases dust-free air into the atmosphere. Baghouse dust collectors are incorporated with fabric bags (or baghouses), which filter dust accumulated in the air stream passing through the collector. Baghouse dust collectors are popular for their efficiency and cost-effectiveness. They are manufactured from a variety of materials such as felted or woven cotton, glass fiber or synthetic.
