CNC Machine Shops

A CNC machine shop refers to any workplace or area used for the fabrication, production, finishing, and repair of components using computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment. A typical CNC machine shop or workshop will consist of machines that are controlled by a CNC system through instructions generated by a processor. As the CNC machines are fully automated, the number of operators required is comparatively less than machine shops with conventional machines. Where automatic loading and unloading equipment is used, CNC machine shops can operate unattended. High accuracy, increased production, low production time, and less labor intensity are some of the advantages of a CNC workshop environment.
