Control valves are power-actuated devices operating in a process system as a critical component of a control loop, to alter the fluid flow rate. These valves maneuver a flowing fluid, such as steam, water, gas or chemical compounds, as compensation for load disturbance, and maintain the regulated process variable at a closest possible value to the pre-set value. Butterfly, gate or knife, needle, diaphragm, globe, pinch, ball and plug include some types of this class valves. Learn more about control valves.
