Grooved Pin Manufacturers
A grooved pin is a parallel pin featuring three longitudinal equi-spaced grooves. These grooves are thrust into the cylindrical body either by rolling or pressing, to enlarge the diameter of the cylinder in a controlled and precise mode. A locking fit ensues when the pin is inserted into a drilled hole of suitable diameter. A straight drilling hole suffices without the necessity of reaming to achieve the locking fit. These pins are used as surrogates for locking devices, bearing faces, pivots, locating elements, stop pins and cotter pins. They are used in applications with end loads of lesser intensity.
