Nickel foil is a slender sheet or roll of nickel exhibiting high purity and appreciable etching properties. Continuous electro deposition process is one of the methods employed for the manufacture of nickel foils. The foil is patterned photolithographically with micro-sized holes aligned with close interstices in between, simultaneously taking care that the underlying electrolyte has not been perforated into. These foils find applicability in the form of bursting discs, gaskets, lead frames, battery mesh, heating elements and printed circuit/resistor boards.
