Silicone gaskets are seals created from an uncured blend of a compound of silicone which is exercised over the mating parts and this assembly is subjected to curing process. These gaskets are versatile and are available in myriad material varieties such as thermally-conductive silicones, reinforced silicones, electrically-conductive silicones and high tear strength silicones. Gaskets of this type are widely used in applications that demand resistance to extreme temperatures since they exhibit a tendency to operate at high temperatures. They are also used to shield processor chips and circuit boards from heat, dust, moisture and various fluids.
