Stainless steel foil is a slender metal sheet made of stainless steel. These foils are widely used as wraps for preventing surface decarburization of metal products and tools during heat treatment process in furnaces unequipped with atmosphere controls. These foils are marketed in customized models; they can be annealed, extra hard, full hard or spring type. These foils are soft temper and form an airtight wrap for fast scale-free heat treating. Major sectors that employ foils of this type are structured packing, petrochemical, optical fiber, batteries, automobile and other general engineering applications.
