Stereolithography Manufacturers

Stereolithography (SLA) uses UV energy to cure a liquid resin into plastic, producing prototypes very quickly with an additive process. The SLA machine dissects a design into thin layers (typically 0.004" - 0.006") and scans each layer in a vat of resin. After each layer is complete, the platform lowers into the vat of resin to re-wet the surface and a laser hardens the next layer. Upon build completion, the part is then cleaned and cured. The entire process slowly forms a three-dimensional physical object, bottom to top, from a pool of liquid resin.
