Tulsa Plating Company (Tulsa, OK)

Manufacturer

Electroless plating is a process that utilizes an auto-catalytic chemical reaction instead of electricity to deposit a metal finish onto a part. This type of plating process gives uniform thickness all over the part’s shape and size without the variances that occur in normal electrolytic plating. This offers a distinct advantage for engineered processes that require very exact tolerances. Electroless nickel coatings also have a high hardness of 48 Rockwell C and can be baked at 400°C for 1 hour to increase the hardness to 70 Rockwell C. Tulsa Plating Company’s Electroless Nickel tanks measure to 48” long x 30” wide x 48” deep and a 2000lb capacity motorized hoist system gives us the ability to handle both very large parts that no one in Tulsa can handle and small parts with ease. - Low Phosphorous (2-5%) Nickel Plating, which offers improved hardness and wear characteristics, higher temperature resistance, and increased corrosion resistance in alkaline environments. - Medium Phosphorus (5-9%) Nickel Plating, which are bright and aesthetically pleasing and offer good hardness and wear characteristics along with moderate corrosion resistance. - High Phosphorus (10-14%) Electroless Nickel Plating, which provides high corrosion resistance and a complete lack of magnetic response. Specifications: MIL-C-26074Class I- As plated w/o supplementary heat treatment Class II- Heat treated to obtain required hardness Grade A- 0.0010 G
