About Air Rover Co:
 The Founding Family
The Stiles family founded Air Rover, Inc. in 1986. Jack L. Stiles, formerly of Stiles Corporation in Irving, TX, brought an extensive background of air conditioning manufacturing and rooftop accessory manufacturing. Roof curbs, plenums, economizers, and single point air distribution (concentric diffusers) were packaged with major brand air conditioners such as York, Carrier, Trane, Rheem, Tappan, and Day & Night. Stiles’ integrated roof top accessories were used on all of Southland Corporation’s 7-11 stores, Pillsbury’s, and Bennigan’s Taverns. Even Wal-Mart and Sam’s wholesale club stores utilize rooftop accessories that originated at Stiles Corporation in Irving, TX. When Jack Stiles passed away in 2004, his wife, Francis Stiles, became the owner and President of Air Rover, Inc.

Air Rover’s Facilities
Air Rover’s facilities include 140,000 square feet of precision sheet metal fabrication and high-speed product lines. The original building was part of a World War II military training facility called Camp Fannan. Today, the facility is used to manufacture military ECUs that keep all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces cool in the world’s hottest climates.

Innovation at Work
Air Rover developed the first air-cooled (condenser) portable air conditioners manufactured in the U.S.A. Air Rover’s slow and steady growth was funded via the largest SBA backed loan ever secured in Tyler, TX. Soon after Air Rover began its manufacturing operation in Tyler, TX it was awarded a New Item Introductory contract by the General Services Administration. Eighteen years later, Air Rover’s portable air conditioners and military environmental control units are now on an ongoing Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) GSA Contract GS-21F-0090H. In the early 1990’s Air Rover’s engineering team concentrated on Environmental Control Units (ECUs) designed to cool command centers for the J-Star program built by Motorola and used in operation Desert Storm. Since that time, Air Rover, Inc. has continued product development in its core business of refrigerated portable air conditioners widely used in computer rooms, telephone equipment rooms, factory workstations, process cooling, and other office and factory hot spots.

Products
Product offerings include the XL Series Portables for commercial applications, as well as the HT Series Portables for High Temperature applications such as is encountered in desert regions where temperatures can exceed 130º F. The HT Series of portables is ideally suited for continuous cooling in the most severe climates and the harshest of high temperature factory workstation and process cooling applications.

Accessories and Special Projects
With an extensive background in systemized rooftop accessories, engineers at Air Rover excel at designing and integrating systemized accessories for standard installations (i.e. Ceiling Package, Window/Wall Package, and Roof Package) or special projects requiring special transitions for adapting the cooling systems to enclosed conveyers, electrical test panels, computers or communications equipment. Optional duct transitions are available on all models which allow single or multiple duct transitions for customer’s special cooling requirements.

The Present and Future
Air Rover’s recent product development includes Environmental Control Units (ECUs) for a host of military applications including tent and shelter cooling. Designed by an air conditioning dream team, our latest product development includes high temperature systems capable of staying on line and delivering cold, refrigerated air to sensitive electronics, communications, and weapons systems in hostile climates up to 150ºF.
