ALVIN PIPE AND TUBE CLAMPS AIS slip-on pipe clamps are made of malleable iron castings which are free of sharp edges. They have either a hot dipped galvanized or fluorocarbon finish with case hardened set screws Fluorocarbon is a smoother, cleaner finish that allows the threads in the AIS clamp to be coated. HOW TO SPECIFY ALVIN PIPE AND TUBE CLAMPS To make sure your project or design (railings, racks and structures) is constructed with the ALVIN advantage please use the following specification. Your project shall be constructed with malleable cast iron slip-on fittings conforming to Ferric S.G. Iron to grade 420/12 and black heart malleable BS 340/12 . All fittings shall be securely fastened to the pipe with zinc plated or fluorocarbon, case hardened sharp cup-point set screws.
