Company History:
Dynex/Rivett can trace its origins to 1884 when Edward Rivett started a small machine shop in Boston to produce precision machine tools. Rivett Lathe and Grinder Company expanded production to include hydraulic valves for its machine tools and for sale through distributors of fluid power equipment.
The Dynex Company was founded in 1957 in Milwaukee, as a division of Applied Power. In 1967, Rivett was acquired and joined with Dynex to develop and produce hydraulic and electrohydraulic products for use in both mobile and industrial applications. In 1977, Dynex/Rivett Inc. became an independent company.
