.jpg) | Permanent Magnetic Sheet Fanners Our standard permanent and electromagnetic Sheet Fanners and Separators are designed to separate steel sheet stock. As sheets are placed against the sheet fanner, the powerful magnetic field automatically forces the sheets apart and separates them from one another. Manually prying apart sticky, oily sheets is no longer necessary and die damaging double blanking problems are eliminated. The flexible mounting design gives you more options to match your application needs. Use the handle and base plate for portable applications or use the tapped holes to bolt the fanner to your equipment or tooling. Note: Choose a fanner with a height 2-3 inches taller than your maximum stack height. Typical Magnetic Sheet Separator Installations: For best results, locate the magnetic fanner at the corner(s) of large sheets and in the center of the width of length on smaller sheets. .jpg) | Drum Separator IMI's Magnetic Drum Separators provide ferrous metal removal from dry, bulk products in free-flowing processing systems. Due to the nature of their design, magnetic drum separators are continuously self-cleaning units, and can be provided as the drum only or as a complete assembly with the housing and drive included. Material to be processed enters the top of the magnetic drum separator and flows across the surface of the drum. As the drum shell rotates around the stationary magnetic field, all non-ferrous product, which is unaffected by the magnet, falls free from the drum into the cleaned material flow. Any ferrous tramp metal is captured by the magnetic field and held on the drum's surface. As the drum rotates, the metal is carried past the diverter and released outside of the magnetic field. .jpg) | Extractor & Split-Flow Magnet The Extractor Magnets are designed for ferrous metal separation in high volume dry processing applications. These continuous operation, high performance separators feature powerful parallel permanent magnets to capture ferrous tramp metal from direct material flow. As material enters through the Extractor's inlet, it passes over a diverter which angles the product flow towards the magnets. Ferrous metal that is mixed in with the product flow is then captured and held by the powerful magnetic field. Standard models are equipped with a EZ-clean stripper drawer to easily remove collected metal from the housing. Also available is an air-actuated self cleaning unit for automated or remote cleaning. The Split-Flow Magnet provides excellent separation for free-falling or choke flows in vertical chute applications. As a product enters the Split Flow magnetic housing, a center wedge magnet splits the flow and diverts the streams towards two extra high intensity parallel magnets. These three magnetic contact points offer excellent attraction and holding power. The housing is constructed of all welded stainless steel for a long, noncorrosive life and is available in both EZ-Clean and Self-Cleaning models. The Hump magnet employs two heavy duty diverter-equipped Spout Magnets, which are positioned so that the offset flow of product flowing through the hump is forced into the magnetic fields. IMI's Round Style magnetic grates are constructed with one inch diameter magnetic tubes placed on two inch (2") centers in heavy duty 1/8" thick x 2" wide stainless steel framing. The round style magnetic grates are available in 16 standard diameters ranging from 4" to 36" with either Ceramic or Rare Earth magnetic construction. Special sizes are also available.
