 SLIC™ Pin Locking Detent
Patents Pending

The SLIC™ Pin is used in the same manner as Clevis Pins and Cotters, but has much improved functionality and ease of assembly. The wedge shaped plunger's retention strength is as strong as a respective cotter pin. The simple, one-piece design means easier, safer and faster assembly speeds than typical pins & cotters. No tools are needed. No sharp Cotter Pin ends. No Cotter Pins to mess with or lose.

The SLIC™ Pin can be configured to suit individual applications. It can be produced in a Clevis Pin head style, grab ring style or others styles. Various pin materials and finishes are available. For more information or Free Samples please contact Pivot Point Customer Service.

 Tab Lock Pins

Easier to use than standard wire lock pins. Pull up on tab to remove, push down on wire loop to lock. Tab acts as a load ramp which guides wire loop to a locked position when installing. Made of low carbon steel, zinc plated. Wire loop of hard drawn spring wire.

 Wire Lock Pins

Wire lock pins are like having pin and cotter in one secure assembly. The wire loop is pulled over the pin end to lock it in place or remove it. This one-piece fasteners eliminates cotter pin loss and fits most "quick release" applications.

Made of a low carbon steel cold-headed pin and spring wire loop, zinc plated.

 Detent Clevis Pins

Ball detent depresses and springs up to hold clevis pin in place. Used for assembly speed or hard-to-cotter applications. This fastener lowers labor costs and offers quick release features for flush-mount applications.

Made to order, detent clevis pins are based on standard clevis pin head and shank dimensions. Ends are pointed for easy insertion. Pins are typically zinc plated carbon steel and the ball detent is Stainless Steel (300 Series).

Ball compression force can be adjusted at time of manufacture to meet force required to insert and remove. All parts are subject to rigid quality control procedures for long life service.

 Detent Ring Pins

Ball detent depresses and springs up for "quick release" applications. Used as a convenient way to adjust or remove accessories on equipment. A stainless steel ball is supported by polyeurathane. This design is low cost and superior in its resistance to foreign material contamination which would shorten ball life.

Standard sizes are made from 12L14 carbon steel zinc plated. Rigid quality control procedures ensure a consistent fastener you can count on.

 Lynch Pins

Pivot Point imports this high quality fastener direct from Denmark - no middlemen. Made to rigid standards, this is the highest quality standard lynch pin available. Made from 1010 carbon steel, zinc plated and yellow chromate dipped, this pin is especially corrosion resistant. The "over center" ring loop attached to the head snaps down hard to hold the fastener in place. A special heavy ring is also available for extreme applications.
