About Plasma-Tec, Inc.:
Team Plasma-Tec is a thermal surface engineering, precision machining & grinding company that provides OEMs and others with blueprint to final assembly components. WE ARE YOUR RAW STOCK TO YOUR DOCK SINGLE SOURCE FOR COATED COMPONENTS! Our expertise is aggressive environments - our coatings provide protection from abrasion, corrosion and can assist in many high wear applications. We coat, machine & grind stainless and carbon steels, aluminums, plastics, carbides and ceramics, as well as exotic alloys such as bi-metals, Hastelloy, Inconel & Monel. We serve pump, aerospace, defense, rotating equipment, hydraulic and machinery building/repair, automotive and other OEMs and other industries. We have complete manufacturing capabilities: Autosaw, Automatic face & centering, CNC turning, automated spraying, CNC Mill, CNC OD grinding and many manual operations.Thermal Spray -- Thermal Spray (Spray & Fuse) is a two stage process, the powder alloy being sprayed into position with a flame spray and then fused with an oxy-acetylene or similar torch. The process uses specially modified cobalt and nickel based alloys and carbide containing grades of powders, depositing thin (1mm – 3mm), smooth layers of alloys that metallurgically and mechanically bond with the substrate.Spray & Fuse coatings are extensively used in the rotary equipment and pump industries. With their excellent resistance to wear, galling, corrosion and erosion over a very wide temperature range and at the lowest cost, these coatings provide superior value to the OEM and end user.• Chemical - Valves, pump shafts & plungers• Food Processing – Screws, mixers• Oil & Gas – Sucker rods, shafts, shaft sleeves, plungers• Municipal – Reverse Osmosis pump componentsPlasma Spray -- Plasma spray coatings are chosen for applications requiring excellent protection levels against abrasion and corrosion. The process uses a plasma generator as a thermal and kinetic energy source to spray droplets of molten materials against an appropriate substrate. Uniform deposits of rapidly quenched splats are collected to form coatings or structures. Deposits can then be machined to precise dimensions.Wear resistant coatings: Through application of specific materials, coatings can be applied to resist abrasion, corrosion, erosion, fretting, friction and galling. Some common applications for Plasma sprayed coatings are: pump idler pins, shafts, bushings (ID & OD), pump plungers & sleeves and compressor rods.Shafts, idler pins, capstans, stuffing boxes, crossheads, sleeves, rings, wear rings, plungers, pistons...
