The Beauty of Magnesium
Magnesium is the most versatile, environmentally safe, high performance metal for photoengraving plates. Magnesium etches quickly and is cost effective. It is the most machinable of all structural metals, allowing for scrolling and routing ease. Magnesium's durability and impact resistance provide the end-user with a long lasting printing image or die. As it is extremely lightweight, it is very manageable and user friendly. High purity magnesium plates possess superior engraving characteristics, producing a range of applications from deep-etch bold images to fine line thermal cutting dies including: flexography---thermal dies---embossing dies---foil/hot stamping---textile embossing---membrane switch dies---decorative plaques---beverage can decorating---large scale designs---equipment nameplates---signage---industrial chem-mill dies---recognition awards---x-ray cassettes---radar templates---electrochemical batteries---computer shielding.
