| | Solid Spray Technologies applies abrasion/corrosion resistant coatings to metal parts. Our application process is done at lower temperatures than other processes, resulting in no formation of oxides in the coating. This means the coating is virtually 100% dense and very durable.
Our process works 5-7 times faster than other thermal spraying processes and 100 times faster than welding, so we can offer you very fast delivery times. Internal stresses in the coating are very low, allowing us to spray very thick layers upon request. Bond strength, however, is very high, so the coating remains where it is applied.
We can apply stainless steel, stellite, hastelloy, and tungsten carbide coatings for you to name a few. In some cases, we first spray nickel to build up worn areas before applying the final coating layer in order to repair parts instead of having our customers buying new ones. We can also spray softer metals to create "sacrificial" parts for you or to recoat parts which are frequently recoated. Spraying offers a big advantage over welding in that the substrate material is not leached into the sprayed coating, thus allowing you to use a thinner layer and lower your cost.
