GARDEN GROVE - Assemblyman Van Tran recently toured local custom metal manufacturer, Bazz Houston Company, in conjunction with the California Metals Coalition (August 24th). Assemblyman Tran was impressed by the quality of work at Bazz Houston and spoke to employees about how important their business is to California.

"Small manufacturing businesses such as the Bazz Houston Co are the foundation of much of the economic strength of the state of California. Small manufacturing businesses account for countless jobs in our state. And, in most instances these companies offer good salaries together with benefits and on-going educational opportunities for their staff,” said Tran. “Bazz Houston knows first-hand that continuing educational programs certainly help to keep U.S. manufacturers competitive in the current global marketplace."

In accepting a Certificate of Recognition from Assemblyman Van Tran for 45 years of manufacturing in California, Javier Castro (President/CEO) said "I am extremely honored to accept this certificate today on behalf of the Bazz Houston Co. and all of its employees. We are very proud of our record over the past 45 years and we hope to continue to serve our customers by supplying the very finest custom parts for the next 45 years and beyond."

Assemblyman Tran’s tour was sponsored by the California Metals Coalition. Overall, there are nearly 10,000 metalworking facilities operating in the state of California. In addition, their staff is available to individual CMC members to advise on company-specific challenges with government agencies.
