Calbrite Expands, Opens New West Coast Facility:
Responding to the growth in its stainless steel conduit and fittings business, Calbrite is opening a new location, expanding its Hammond office facilities and moving its Florida manufacturing facility into a larger building.

Beginning May 15th, Calbrite will begin servicing West Coast customers from its new Downey, CA facility. Located next door to Calpipe Industries, Calbrite’s parent company, this new 7500 square foot facility will stock stainless steel conduit, most frequently requested fittings and a range of accessories. Orders from the eleven western states are expected to be filled by this new facility, reducing delivery times to customers. Some orders may continue to be filled from Calbrite’s Hammond facility based upon size of order, delivery costs and the need for specific materials.

In late May, Calbrite will be moving its Florida operations from Odessa, FL to Oldsmar, FL. While only a 10 minute drive, this new facility doubles Calbrite’s manufacturing and warehousing space in the Southeast. Additionally, this new facility will have space for training facilities. With Calbrite’s commitment to have 90% of its products ARRA-compliant and a desire to personally manufacture as much as commercially feasible, the additional space will accommodate the required machinery and finished good inventory. Orders should still be placed through Calbrite’s Hammond office for processing.

Additionally, Calbrite’s Hammond headquarters is undergoing a face-lift. The company is expanding its office space, preparing for doubling of its sales and operations staff over the next few years.

Calbrite continues to invest in its business to serve its distribution partners and their customers. These investments are designed to ensure that the company has the products available and quickly accessible to customers. Said Dan Markus, president of Calpipe Industries, “These investments are important in continuing Calbrite’s growth. Over the past few years, in light of the economic challenges, we’ve grown substantially every year. Stainless steel’s corrosion-resistant attributes, durability and preference in harsh environments are being preferred for many applications. As more companies become aware of stainless steel, they are willing to pay for product performance, knowing that they will recoup those costs with lower maintenance costs and product longevity. Our investments will help Calbrite continue to exceed our expectations.”
