Rubber O Ring Manufacturers
Rubber O-rings are mechanical seals that are manufactured from natural rubber, an elastomer that is derived from latex. O-rings made from rubber are generally not resistant to sunlight and ozone, but compatible with vegetable oils, animal oils, and most oxidizing chemicals. These O-rings are also compatible with ketones and alcohol. However, with the advent of superior synthetic elastomers that feature improved resistance to temperatures as well as chemicals, natural rubber O rings are increasingly being replaced by synthetic elastomer O-rings made from materials such as Buna-N and silicone rubber.
