The very affordable Series WD2 detects leaking conductive fluids and alarms to prevent the leak from creating costly damage. The WD2 relies on the electrical conductivity of water to change the resistance across the two contacts located at the base of the enclosure. Model WD2-BP2 is battery powered, provides audible alarm, LED visual alarm, and a SSR output. Also featured is a low battery warning. WD2-LP units are line powered and include a green power indication LED.

Mounting bracket A-154 is perfect for use in leak pans where it is desired to raise the sensing level above the bottom of the pan to eliminate nuisance alarms. The bracket can be mounted to the bottom of the pan and the height of the WD2 adjusted anywhere up to 1.75" (44.5 mm). Or the bracket can be used to mount the WD2 to the side of the drip pan or any side wall at desired height.

 Model WD Water Detector
For Indication of Spills or Leaks

Model WD Water Detector from Dwyer Instruments is a dependable indicator of fluid spills, leaks, or small flooding for commercial, residential, or industrial settings. Water sensing tape connects to the switch module and if any conductive liquid comes in contact with the tape, the resistance is changed and the alarm will be triggered. The tape is hydrophobic so it does not absorb any of the liquid it is detecting, which makes for a faster drying time and quicker return to service after a water leak.

Features include DPDT relays for remote indication of water detection, a unit test switch, and continuous tape integrity self check. For versatility, the detector can be powered from either 24 VAC or 24 to 30 VDC. The WD is constructed of robust aluminum enclosure with alarm and power indication LED's.

Dwyer offers sensing tapes in lengths of 5, 10, 15, and 25 feet and multiple tapes can be easily connected together for additional sensing length. Ideal applications include computer rooms, telecommunication facilities, in drip pans under HVAC equipment, or around pumps.
