 Baghouse (DCM)

Our bag-house dust collectors meet the needs of most industrial air-blast operations at a lower cost than cartridge collectors. Plus, the ability to capture 99% of all particles one micron or larger normally permits recirculation of air to the workplace.

In addition, we offer options to automate bag cleaning and reduce noise.

Available in cartridge and bag-house designs, Pro-Finish® dust collectors improve working conditions while reducing maintenance and operating costs. By capturing 99% or more of all particles one micron or larger, these efficient dust collectors permit filtered air to be recirculated into the plant, thus providing significant savings on heating and air conditioning.

Features shared by both designs include:
  • 14 gauge, reinforced construction
  • Fan blade on clean-air side for long life
  • Raised clean-out opening for fast waste removal
  • Top-clean air discharge for operator comfort
  • Push-button control for thorough cleaning

SEM Free Standing Cartridge Dust Collector
  • To ventilate blast cabinet for visibility and cleanliness.
  • Provides energy to convey media to the reclaimer for separation
  • Filters dust-laden air and discharges clean air to shop.
  • Allows the operator to clean the cartridges during operation.
  • Free standing with 5 gallon pail underneath for dust removal

Efficiency
99.999% of particles one-half micron or larger

Construction
  • #12 gauge (minimum), welded and caulked seams, bolted and gasketed
  • Filter access door: Through right side door of the cabinet
  • 5-Gallon waste drum.
  • Mini-Helic gauge measures the pressure drop across the filters
  • Regulator and gauge on compressed air line that feeds reverse pulse cartridge cleaning.

 Cartridge Dust Collectors (CDC)
  • Purge Filters during Blasting
  • Expedite Filter Replacement

Empire's Cartridge Dust Collectors (CDC) increase productivity in three ways.

For starters, they can operate continuously; the air blast system does not have to be shut down while dust is removed from filtration surfaces.

Next, they simplify dust removal from filtration material. Push-button reverse jet-pulsing, a standard feature on all three CDC units, enables an operator viewing a minihelic gage-which monitors pressure drop across the filter-to purge dust while the air-blast system is operating. Alternatively, an optional photohelic upgrade moves dust from filtration surfaces to a collection drum automatically-at the right time and without operator involvement.

Finally, the collection cartridges, once worn, can be quickly and easily removed and replaced through a large access door.

Empire's Cartridge Dust Collectors extend operating cycles, maximize "up" time and reduce maintenance costs-all adding to higher profits.

Cartridge Collectors for High-Production Systems (EM)

Designed for dust collection with high-production equipment such as automated air-blast systems, these EM cartridge collectors increase air flow, provide more filtration area and clean filters automatically.

The filter-cleaning system features a photohelic gauge provided as standard equipment. This unit responds to high and low set points-measured in terms of pressure differential across the filtering material-to activate the jet-pulse cleaning process. Once the pressure limits have been set, these collectors essentially clean themselves.

 Room Ventilation HDFT and BVS

The Empire line of high efficiency cartridge dust collectors providers a cleaning efficiency of 99.999% down to a particle size of .5 micron. These collectors meet the stringent guidelines set on particle emissions. We offer a wide variety of C.F.M. range to meet any ventilation requirement.

The pulse cleaning system automatically cleans the filter elements while the dust collector is in operation, eliminating any production down-time for a filter cleaning cycle.

 Media Reclaimers

Media reclamation can be one of the most critical aspects of air-blasting processes. In addition to media costs, reclaimer performance affects operating speed and quality. Failure to remove dust and fines has an adverse effect on consistency and productivity. If oversized particles are returned to the blast system, for example, clogging and/or inconsistent results often occur.

Pro-Finish reclaimers provide precise control of media recycling. These reclaimers can be adjusted to control the recovery of fine, medium or coarse working materials while removing unwanted particles from the blasting process. As a result, you enjoy reduced media costs as well as consistent, high-quality results. All Pro-Finish reclaimers deliver 99% efficiency, include a screen to prevent over-sized particles from clogging, provide an easy-open access door for quick cleaning and filling, and feature 12-gauge construction for extended service life.

 VRS Vacuum Recovery Systems
  • The easy way to refill
  • SuperBlast® pot not included

Fast, efficient tools for pneumatic recovery of air-blast media

Empire's Vacuum Recovery Systems (VRS) quickly and economically recover media to all Empire SuperBlast® portables, as well as other pressure pots with diameters of 18, 24 or 30 inches.

These pneumatically powered systems convey as much as 140 pounds of A-36 aluminum oxide per minute - more than 8,000 pounds an hour - up a nine-foot lift with 200 cfm of air at 100 psi. Standard models, using only 100 cfm, are available for less demanding applications.

Empire Vacuum Recovery Systems feature rugged welded construction and a durable finish.

Standard equipment includes:
  • Storage hopper with viewing window
  • High-velocity venturi head
  • Two-inch adjustable carburetor
  • Floor-load hopper with trash screen
  • Two-inch inlet and outlet connections
  • Options are available for "pull-chain".

Empire's Vacuum Recovery Systems fit smoothly with all SuperBlast portables and most other pressure pots with diameters of 18, 24, or 30 inches. VRS works with "pull chain" pots, too.

Floor hopper, including a trash removal screen, facilitates media recovery on work sites and within custom blast enclosures. Hopper may be recessed in pit for sweep-in collection of abrasives.

Empire's Vacutrans™, a high-velocity venturi head, enables retrieval of media at rates exceeding 8,000 pounds per hour. Optional silencers and exhaust-hose extensions are available for sound attenuation.

Silica sand is not to be used in any Empire blast equipment.
