8-Strand Single Mode Fiber Optic Mirror A/B Switch

Press Release:
Apr 29, 2008 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new QuickSwitch Model 6261 8-Strand LC Simplex Fiber Optic Mirror A/B Switch. This switch has the capability of sharing 8 Fiber Optic LC Strands connected to the COMMON port among two other sets of 8 strands connected to the “A” and “B” ports.

Model 6261 is unique because it supports Single Mode Fiber Optic wavelength of 1310 nm and gigabit data rates. All switched signals are passed via mirror relays that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of power loss.

Control of Model 6261 switch position is from a 10 Base-T LAN Ethernet environment or, alternately, the front panel pushbutton. Front panel pushbutton may be locked out using RS-232 Telnet commands.
