Control CAT5e A/B/Offline Switch Remotely, Locally, or With Timed Settings

  Apr 15, 2011 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new PathWay® Model 7349 Dual-Channel CAT5e RJ45 A/B/Off-Line Switch with 10Base-T LAN Access. This new switch design allows the user to schedule changes in switch position and the locking and unlocking of the front panel control at any given date and time.

This slim rackmount switch features comprehensive software. The user can access the switch manually via pushbuttons or remotely via any standard Web browser. Login password authentication and four access levels of users are provided. User privileges include: rights to monitor status, control switch functions, setup users, schedule future switching, and configuring the LAN Access port.

All switched signals are passed via copper contact relays that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of a power loss or failure. Channels are switched individually. The switch features easy to use, simple point and click operation.
