ESL's M7211 Supports Two Independent Channels of A/B Switch Function with Remote Contact Control Port

Press Release:
Oct 28, 2009 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces the new Pathway® Model 7211 Dual Channel DB9 A/B Switch with Remote Contact Control Port. This compact, low profile DB9 switch allows a device connected to either channel’s common port access to its respective A and B port while also allowing for both ports to be switched simultaneously.

This network switch may be controlled locally via front panel pushbutton or remotely from the DB9 Remote Control port using dry contact open/closure logic. This unit supports 2 independent channels of A/B switch function with all 9 pins of each channel switched and will maintain switch position and signal pathway even if power to the unit is lost.

An optional Model 7211-RU Remote Unit is available to provide the required contact closure control signals. Two toggle switches control the two DB9 interface A/B switch channels of the Model 7211. LED indicators display the current position of each switch channel.
