| May 8, 2009 — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Electro Standards Laboratories Receives ITAR Registration Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces that they have received their official ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) registration with the United States Department of State. ITAR regulates the manufacture, export and transfer of defense articles, information and services. ESL has an extensive track record of over 30 years of technological advancements, including advanced controls for rotary and linear motors with application to aircraft launch for next generation aircraft carriers. ESL also provides specialty data communication switches, MIL spec custom cable assemblies, and ruggedized interface converters for government agencies and defense contractors. This registration serves as a precondition to submitting applications for export licenses and is an integral component of the ESL export compliance program.
