Model 7201 DB9 ABCD Switch is Ideal for Device-Sharing Applications

Press Release:
Feb 4, 2011 — Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the PathWay® Model 7201 DB9 Interface 4-Position Data Switch that provides switching in a compact, desktop unit. The Model 7201 allows sharing a single DB9 interface device connected to the Common port among four other devices connected to the A, B, C, and D ports. This unit switches all 9 pins of the DB9 interface and can be used to switch ANY DB9 interface device.

The Model 7201 can be switched locally by using its pushbutton or remotely from the DB9/female RS232 serial interface remote port. The front panel LED display indicates the switch position and power status.

The Model 7201 is transparent to data speed and format. The switch retains the last switch position in the event of power loss and continues to pass data. Model 7201 is enclosed in an attractive anodized packaging that provides EMI/RFI shielding.
