Thermal Mass Flow Meter To Increase Boiler Efficiency
 
Our new Boiler-Trak™ mass flow meter is a boiler and heater efficiency solution for natural gas flow measurement applications.
 
Boiler-Trak™ is designed to provide an economical and easy to install solution for natural gas measurement to heaters and boilers. The instrument also suited for compliance to new regulations for burning natural gas in commercial boiler applications. Boiler-Trak™ is easy to install or retrofit into existing piping and provides the mass flow rate and totalized flow (200 millisecond response to changes in flow rate) of the natural gas burned.  Since 2006, over 15,000 units have been successfully installed measuring methane, propane and natural gas.
 
Sierra has certified our Boiler-Trak™ thermal mass flow meter for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) measurement meeting all requirements defined by the EPA (40 CFR Part 98).  Developed in 2007 as a fuel measurement solution for the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006,  Boiler-Trak™ meets all of the requirements calld out for a stationary combustion fuel meter.  This product is optimized for highly accurate and repeatable mass flow meters for methane (CH4) as well as N20, SF6, HFC's, PFC's and CO2 as called out in the EPA mandate.

NEMA 4X (IP65) Immersible Thermal Mass Flow Meter
 
The Model 620S Fast-Flo® insertion mass flow meter was designed to give customers a highly reliable 200 msec fast time-response (Fast-Flo® Sensor Technology) mass flow meter for light-industrial applications where a NEMA 4X (IP65) enclosure is acceptable. The Model 620S has an accuracy is ± 1% of full scale, 0.2% of full scale repeatability, and the flow range goes up to 20,000 sfpm.
 
The Model 620S is commonly used to measure air, nitrogen or any other inert gas. In addition, the compact and versatile microprocessor-based transmitter integrates the functions of flow-range adjustment, and meter validation and diagnostics.

Steel-Mass is also a popular choice forlandfill gas(LFG) measurement applications. LFG – a very humid, dirty gas that leaves the landfill at low pressure (20 - 40 mBarg) and about 40-60°C (100F) – makes differential pressure (DP) devices like orifice plates unsuitable, while variable flows require a large turndown. In-line Volumetric Vortex Meter
 
Model 241V Innova-Flo provides a direct reading of volumetric flow for liquids, steam or constant density gases. The unique insertion design may be used in process piping from 2-inches up to 72-inches. Product accuracy is ± 1.2% of rate for liquids and 1.5% of rate for gases and steam over a 30:1 range.  The Model 221 is hazardous area approved for FM, CSA, ATEX and CE.
 
The Model 240V allows for a constant density input to calculate mass flow for incompressible fluids or constant density gas or steam flow.  The product features loop power, simple installation with ANSI flanges and a 4-20 loop output.  A separate totalizer pulse output is also standard.  Smart electronics provides access to all measured variables and programming menus.

 Innova-Sonic 205i Insertion Ultrasonic Flow Meter
 
Insertion Ultrasonic Flowmeters and Readers
 
Innova-Sonic™ Model 205i is commonly ordered with standard clamp-on transducers, however, insertion transducers are a good choice when their are signal strength issues due to difficult piping configurations. To eliminate issues with pipe wall thickness, pipe liners, and/or pipe wall deposits, the 205i insertion transducers will assure signal strength and performance of the instrument.  The transducers can be used on pipes that range in size from 2-inch to 400-inches (50mm to 10000mm).
