Ultra High Purity In-line Mass Flow Meter with Flow Condit
 
Our Ultra High Purity Model 780S-UHP is the industry-choice for bulk gas distribution service in semiconductor fabs, in pharmaceutical production and other ultra-clean processes. Real-time monitoring of gas usage provides reliable information on consumption and usage patterns in the manufacturing area and may be used for both billing and diagnostic purposes. The Model 780S-UHP is constructed with 316L electropolished tubing in choice of 7-10 Ra (UHP) or 20-25 Ra (HP) interior.
 
The Model 780S-UHP is available in pipe sizes from 1/2-inch up to 12-inches and are offered with Buttweld connections and a VCR probe-connection fitting.  Larger line sizes are available upon request.  The Model 780S-UHP also features Sierra's unique dual-plate flow conditioning element to eliminate velocity profile distortions as well as swirl and temperature stratification in the gas stream. This product reduces piping straight run requirements to as little as three upstream diameters.  As a result, you save money on installation costs when compared to an orifice-plate where least 20 upstream piping diameters are required for optimal performance.
 
In addition, the Model 780S-UHP features Sierra's well-known Smart Electronics Package for field-rangability, field flow-range adjustment, and field validation and diagnostics.  The Model 780S has outstanding low-velocity sensitivity and exceptional accuracy.
 
The Model 780S-UHP has very low pressure drop, and wide turndown. The Model 780S-UHP is hazardous area approved by CSA and CRN (Canada), FM (USA), ATEX, CE and PED (EU), IEC Ex (Australia), GOST R (Russian Federation) and Chinese Pattern Approval (China). Meter accuracy is +/ 1% of reading plus +/-0.5% of full scale with repeatability of +/- 0.2% of full scale.

Mass Flow Meter Optimized For Chlorine Measurement
 
The Chlorine-Trak™ 760S has been specifically designed to perform as an accurate and cost-effective mass flow measurement solution for chlorine injection processes found in typical waste-water treatment applications.
 
Given the corrosive nature of chlorine gas (particularly in the presence of moisture), finding an economical measurement solution posed a great challenge to the industry. To answer this challenge, Sierra has designed a flow body manufactured from Kynar® polyvinylidene fluoride resin (PVDF). This material offers excellent corrosion and chemical resistance at both ambient and elevated temperatures. PVDF is also inherently stable, mechanically tough, and abrasion and flame resistant.
 
The 760S's flow sensor utilizes a 6" Hastelloy® C-127 probe and 1" Swagelok® Hastelloy® NPT compression fitting to mate with the Kynar® PVDF flow body. Hastelloy C is highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion and is used extensively in the most corrosive environments.
 
With its sizable turndown (100:1) and a mass flow reading that requires no pressure or temperature compensation, Sierra's highly repeatable and stable sensor technology offers an accurate solution for chlorine flow measurement at an economical price.

The Model 780S is available in pipe sizes from 1/4-inch to 8-inches in a choice of NPT, Buttweld or ANSI 150 lb. flanged design (300 lb. flanges optional).  Larger sizes are available upon request. Meter accuracy is +/ 1% of reading plus +/-0.5% of full scale with repeatability of +/- 0.2% of full scale.
 
 
Sierra has certified the Model 780S thermal mass flow meter for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) measurement meeting all requirements defined by the EPA (40 CFR Part 98).  This product is optimized for highly accurate and repeatable mass flow measurement of methane (CH4) as well as N20, SF6, HFC's, PFC's and CO2 as called out in the EPA mandate.  Sierra has long supplied its Model 780S to gas and electrical producers around the world.  With its built-in Dual-Plate flow conditioning element, the Model 780S is an ideal meter for measuring gas flow in cramped or constrained piping environments where long straight pipe runs simply do not exist.  The Model 780S is routinely used by gas and power plants to measure methane to compressors, pre-heaters, boilers and other process equipment.

 IN-LINE VORTEX FLOW METERS
 
Sierra was the first to introduce a Multivariable Mass Vortex Flow Meter to the market in the late 1990's. Learn more about how this next generation ofMass Vortex Flow Meter technologycame about.  Sierra's Multivariable product line features an inline version, the Model 240 Innova-Mass® vortex flowmeter and a unique immersion version, the Model 241 Innova-Mass®. The Model 241 has emerged recently as the proven instrument of choice ingeothermal steam applicationsacross the globe. The Model 240 and Model 241 can measure the mass flow rate of any gas or liquid and are ideally suited for saturated or superheated steam. The Model 241 vortex flow meter is available in high-pressure versions capable of mass flow measurement of gases up to 5000 psig.
 
Our Multivariable Technology allows one instrument and one process connection to measure FIVE process parameters at the same time to simultaneously measure mass flow rate, temperature, pressure, volumetric flow rate, and fluid density.
 
The Innova-Mass cryogenic version has undergone extensive testing and field validation over the last several years proving that the meter is preferred versus traditional turbine meters for measuring mass flow rates of cryogenic fluids down to -328°F (-200°C).  Using a special cryogenic temperature RTD, mass calculations are done with the latest density equations of state for liquid Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, and CO2. All models are fully field-programmable, configurable and feature RS485, MODBUS or HART protocols.   Sierra's Innova-Flo volumetric vortex products, the Model 240V and Model 241V, have the same advantages of the premium Innova-Mass offering, but do not have the temperature and pressure measurement capability.
